COLOMBO (News 1st): Customs revenue for the first six months of 2026 has exceeded its target by 30%
Customs Media Spokesperson, Chandana Punchihewa, said that as of June 30, the Customs has earned a revenue of 1373.7 billion rupees.
The revenue target for the first six months was 1060.5 billion rupees.
Accordingly, he said that they have been able to earn an excess revenue of 313 billion rupees.
The Customs revenue target for this year is 2206.9 billion rupees.
The Customs Media Spokesperson mentioned that the Customs is capable of surpassing that revenue target.
Customs also exceeded its revenue target last year, earning 2,550 billion rupees.
