Negombo Drug Bust: Two Arrested With Hashish, Ice And Heroin In Raid

COLOMBO (News 1st); Information has emerged about a drug trafficking operation in which payments were made through online transfers and deposited into bank accounts.

The police said that based on information received by officers of the Negombo Divisional Crime Investigation Bureau, a raid was conducted in the Kattuwa area in Negombo. 

During the raid, they arrested two suspects along with 1.034 kg of hashish, 7.420 grams of ICE , 8.860 grams of heroin, LKR 351,200 suspected to be earnings from the drug trade, and two motor vehicles suspected to have been used for the operation.

The arrested individuals are residents of Mount Lavinia and Udugampola, aged 29 and 31.

The Negombo Police are conducting further investigations into the incident.
