CID Nabs Commando Sergeant For Selling Ammo To 'Commando Salintha'

COLOMBO (News 1st); A sergeant from the Ganemulla Commando Regiment has been arrested by the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) for allegedly supplying ammunition to a high-profile inmate known as Commando Salintha, who is currently in detention and linked to organized criminal activity.

According to CID sources, the suspect is accused of selling 350 crounds of ammunition at a rate of Rs. 1,000 each, amounting to a total of Rs. 350,000. 

The arrest was made last night following an investigation.
