Killer Whale Sweeps National Swimming Titles

COLOMBO (News 1st); The Killer Whale Aquatic Club emerged as the dominant force at the 49th National Swimming Championships, securing both the men’s and women’s overall titles in a highly competitive five-day event.

Held at the Sugathadasa Swimming Complex, the championship saw participation from over 600 swimmers representing 80 schools and sports clubs across the country. The event was organized by the Sri Lanka Aquatic Sports Union.

In the under-15 girls’ category, Museus College Colombo claimed the championship title with a total of 404 points, while St. Joseph’s College, Maradana won the under-15 boys’ title, scoring 532 points.

The Killer Whale Aquatic Club secured the women’s overall championship with 890 points, while also clinching the men’s overall title with 626 points, marking a clean sweep of the top honors.
