CID Raids Iniya Bharathi’s Residence Over Serious Criminal Cases

Colombo (News 1st):The residence of former Provincial Councilor Iniya Bharathi, a close associate of former Eastern Province Chief Minister Shivanesathurai Chandrakanthan, alias Pillayan, has been searched by officers of the Criminal Investigation Department (CID).

The search took place at his house in the Kalmunai of Ampara.

According to police, the operation is part of ongoing investigations into a series of serious crimes — including kidnappings, murders, and robberies — allegedly linked to the suspects.

Iniya Bharathi was recently taken into custody by the CID in connection with these investigations.
