Suspect Arrested at Katunayake Airport with Over 10 Kilograms of Crystal Methamphetamine

COLOMBO (News 1st): A suspect has been arrested at Katunayake Airport for the possession of over 10 kilograms of crystal methamphetamine, commonly known as ICE.
The arrest was made during a raid conducted by customs officials.
The suspect had travelled in Sri Lanka from Malaysia.
Customs Media Spokesman Seevali Arukgoda, said that the drugs were concealed in packets containing tea leaves.
The estimated value of the seized drugs is 250 million rupees.
The arrested suspect is a 35-year-old resident of Dematagoda.
