COLOMBO (News 1st) - A delegation including the Secretary to the Treasury is scheduled to depart the island for Thailand today to attend the annual meetings of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the World Bank.
Deputy Minister of Finance Dr. Anil Jayantha said discussions will focus on Sri Lanka’s progress to date, economic stability and plans for the country’s future economic transformation.
The IMF-World Bank Annual Meetings are scheduled to be held in Bangkok from tomorrow (12) until October 18.
More than 15,000 delegates from 191 countries are expected to attend the meetings to discuss the global economy.
