Associate of Shiran Basik Arrested with Ice and Heroin Worth Over Rs. 250 Million

COLOMBO (News 1st): A close associate of major drug trafficker Shiran Basik has been arrested with stocks of Ice and Heroin worth more than Rs. 250 million. 

The arrest was made following a lengthy investigation by the Colombo Crimes Division.

Police said the seized drugs allegedly belong to an individual known as Moril, who is currently overseas.

The seized drugs include 9 kilograms and 229 grams of ice and 9 kilograms and 264 grams of heroin.

The 24-year-old suspect, a resident of Wattala, is reportedly Moril’s main associate.

Police also took into custody a weighing scale and a mobile phone found in the suspect’s possession.
