SJB MP Dayasiri Jayasekara Temporarily Steps Away From Facebook Amid Political Controversy

COLOMBO (News 1st): Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB) MP Dayasiri Jayasekara says he has temporarily stepped away from Facebook

He made the clarification in response to his earlier remarks regarding the possibility of toppling the government, by joining forces with “thieves and robbers”.

He said the government is arresting various individuals and claims that opposition members are being systematically targeted and labelled with allegations such as racism, theft, drug-related offences, and even terrorism.

He argues that such labeling is being used to discredit politicians and questions who will clear their names once they are accused. 

He also says that all members of the joint opposition are being drawn into the same narrative, making it difficult for them to function effectively as an opposition.
