Man Killed in Sharp Weapon Attack in Kadawatha

COLOMBO (News 1st) - A man has been killed in a sharp-weapon attack, in the Ihala Biyanwila area of Kadawatha. 

Police said the assault took place following a dispute involving two other individuals while the victim was attending his brother’s birthday party.

Another person was injured in the incident and has been admitted to the Ragama Hospital for treatment.

Police stated that one suspect linked to the attack has been arrested, while investigations are underway to locate the other suspect.

The deceased has been identified as a 54-year-old resident of Kadawatha.
