COLOMBO (News 1st): A five-member team from the 3 Commando Mountain Warfare unit successfully carried out a rescue operation today at World’s End in Horton Plains after an emergency was reported at around 10:30 a.m.

The incident involved a 23-year-old woman who had fallen while attempting to take selfies and photographs at the location. Following the alert, the specialized commando team was immediately deployed to the site to begin rescue efforts.
