Shani Abeysekara Returns as CID Director

COLOMBO (News 1st); SSP Shani Abeysekara officially assumed duties today as the Director of the Criminal Investigation Department (CID). 

This marks a return to a familiar role for Abeysekara, who previously served in the same capacity during an earlier tenure.

Prior to this appointment, Abeysekara held the position of Director of the Criminal Intelligence Analysis and Prevention Division, where he played a key role in strategic intelligence operations
