3,499 Dengue Cases Reported in First Three Weeks of the Year

COLOMBO (News 1st); In the first three weeks of this year alone, 3,499 dengue cases have been reported in the country.

The National Dengue Control Unit stated that the majority of these cases, 1,576, were reported from the Western Province.

Gampaha District has recorded the highest number of dengue cases.

The National Dengue Control Unit also mentioned that 22 Medical Officer of Health (MOH) divisions across the island have been identified as high-risk areas for dengue.
