15 Hour Water Cut For Several Parts Of Colombo

COLOMBO (News 1st)The National Water Supply and Drainage Board says a 15 hour water cut will be effective in several parts of Colombo from 9 am today.

Accordingly the water cut will be effective for 15 hours from 9 am to 12 mid night in the Colombo, Dehiwala, Mount Lavinia, Kotte, Kaduwela Municipal Council, Maharagama, Boralesgamuwa, Kolonnawa Urban Council, Kotikawatte, and Mulleriyawa Municipal Council.

The National Water Supply and Drainage Board says a low supply of water will be supplied to the Moratuwa Municipal Council.

The water cut is imposed due to maintenance work carried out by the Ceylon Electricity Board (CEB) which requires the power supply to be disconnected to the Ambatale Water Treatment Plant and other maintenance work by the water board.
