Labour Day 2023: Special Traffic Plan in Colombo

COLOMBO (News 1st); Sri Lanka Police said that a special traffic and security plan is in place on Monday (1) in areas where Labour Day rallies and meetings will take place.

Motorists are advised to avoid the following areas unless for essential matters during the period of the Labour Day rallies and meetings. Motorists are advised to use alternative routes to avoid inconvenience.

- Panchikawatte Road, Maradana Bridge Junction, Maradana Second Road, Technical Junctions, Olcott Mawatha, Gunasinghepura Junction, Sauders Place

- Havelock Road, Thummulla Junction, Thurstan Road, JOC Junction, Glass House Junction, Nanda Motors Junction, Horton Round-about, Kannangala Mawatha, F.R. Senanayake Mawatha

- Red Cross Junction, Dharmapala Mawatha, Liptop Circus, Union Place - Ananda Coomaraswamy Mawatha, Library Junction

- St. Michael's Road, Hudson Road, Nelson Lane, Dharmakeerthiyarama Road, Camal Road, Cameron Place

- Olcott Mawatha, Technical Junction, Sangharaja Mawatha, Sangharaja Junction, Pradeepa Mawatha - Avissawella Road, Orugodawatte Junction, States Road, Kosgas Junction
