Gotabaya Rajapaksa’s Petition Dismissed

COLOMBO (News 1st): The Court of Appeal today dismissed, without hearing, a writ petition filed by former President Gotabaya Rajapaksa.

The petition had sought an order preventing his arrest in connection with investigations into the Easter Sunday terror attacks.

After considering the petition, a Court of Appeal bench headed by its President, Justice Rohantha Abeysuriya, pronounced the order today.
