Seat Belt Use Now Mandatory For All Expressway Passengers

COLOMBO (News 1st): Police say it is now mandatory for all passengers travelling on expressways to wear seat belts.
Deputy Inspector General of Police in charge of Traffic Management and Road Safety, W.P.J. Senadheera, said the regulation applies to all vehicles entering expressways from today (20th).
Accordingly, vehicle inspections were conducted along expressways today to ensure compliance with the new requirement.
