One Dead, Two Injured In Three-Wheeler Accident In Rideegama

COLOMBO (News 1st): A fatal collision between a three-wheeler and a bus in Kurunegala has left one person dead and two others injured.

Police say the accident occurred in the Delwita area of Rideegama when the three-wheeler collided head-on with a bus traveling in the opposite direction.

The driver of the three-wheeler and the two women traveling in it sustained injuries and were hospitalized following the crash.

Police confirmed that the 40-year-old three-wheeler driver succumbed to his injuries.

The Police added that the bus driver has been arrested in connection with the accident.
