Niruksha Kumara Calls Allegations Over Suresh Salley’s Laptop a 'Serious Issue'

COLOMBO (News 1st) - National Organizer of the Democratic National Alliance, Niruksha Kumara, says that claims alleging the presence of classified intelligence information on the laptop of former State Intelligence Chief Suresh Salley are a serious concern.

He made these remarks in response to statements made by Member of Parliament Dayasiri Jayasekara, who had earlier claimed that Salley’s laptop contains intelligence related to terrorism in Sri Lanka.

MP Dayasiri Jayasekara made these remarks in Kandy.

Accordingly, Niruksha Kumara questioned how a retired intelligence chief could possess classified information that belongs to the State Intelligence Service.

He also raised concerns over how Dayasiri Jayasekara is aware of details related to war information allegedly contained in the former SIS Chief’s laptop and urged politicians to avoid making statements based on unverified information, warning against politicising sensitive national security issues.
