Search Underway For Three Children Missing After Bathing In Seas Off Hungama

COLOMBO (News 1st) - Search operations are continuing to rescue the three children who went missing while bathing in the seas off Hungama Kalamatiya.

Police said that the search is being carried out with the assistance of the Navy.

Three children aged 12, 17, and 18 were reported missing yesterday (30) evening while bathing in the area. 

Meanwhile, a person has died after drowning in the Thirikkovil Rupaskulama 
wewa. 

The 47-year-old man was injured while attempting to take cattle across the wewa.

In another incident, a man who was being swept away by strong waves while bathing in Panadura sea has been rescued by officers of the Panadura Police Life Saving Unit.

Police said the 40-year-old man was rescued and brought to shore, given First-Aid, and later handed over to his relatives.
