Woman Murdered In Wellewa, Suspect Commits Suicide

COLOMBO (News 1st) - A woman was murdered with a sharp weapon in Nikadalupotha, Wellewa.

Police said the murder was carried out following a dispute with a man who had been involved in an extramarital relationship with the deceased woman.

According to Police, the suspect too had later committed suicide.

The deceased are reported to be two individuals aged 40 and 49.

Investigations by the Wellewa Police into the incident are underway.
