Immigration System Back Online After Technical Failure

COLOMBO (News 1st); The system malfunction that affected operations at the Department of Immigration and Emigration has now been restored to normal.

According to the Department, a total of 300 passport applications were accepted today for the issuance of travel documents.

The technical error, which occurred in the Department’s system, caused disruptions to the issuance of f passports yesterday, temporarily halting related services.
