Sumangala Thero Gives Statement on Reform Complaint

COLOMBO (News 1st); Venerable Udugama Sumangala Thero was summoned to the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) today.

Police stated that the Thero was summoned to record a statement regarding a written complaint he had submitted concerning the education reforms.

Venerable Udugama Sumangala Thero arrived at the CID at around 11:00 a.m. today.

According to the police, after recording his statement, the Thero left the CID at around 1:30 p.m.
