COLOMBO (News 1st) - Legendary singer Latha Walpola, fondly known as the Nightingale of Sinhala Music, has passed away at the age of 92.
Family members stated that she passed while receiving treatment at the Sri Jayewardenepura General Hospital.
Renowned for her melodious voice, Latha Walpola left an indelible mark on Sinhala cinema and enriched radio, stage, and popular music for generations.
