Bloemendhal Yard Opened To Reduce Congestion at Colombo Port

COLOMBO (News 1st): The Bloemendhal Container Yard, established by the Port Authority, has been opened for the parking of container trucks.

The decision was implemented as a short-term solution to reduce congestion during container operations and Customs clearance processes at the Colombo Port.

The move follows a discussion held on the 20th of December chaired by the Minister of Ports and Civil Aviation, Anura Karunathilaka.
