Sri Lanka Navy Recovers Firearms And Ammunition from Kalpitiya Lagoon

COLOMBO (News 1st) -

A pistol, a rifle, and 42 rounds of T-56 ammunition have been recovered from the lagoon bed of the Ichchankadu Lagoon in Kandakuliya, Kalpitiya.

The discovery was made during a special search operation carried out by naval divers attached to the SLNS Vijaya. 

During a separate operation conducted in the same lagoon area on 02 June, 53 rounds of ammunition of various types were also recovered.
