Archchuna Arrested Over Alleged Abuse of Police

COLOMBO (News 1st): Jaffna District Member of Parliament Dr. Ramanathan Archchuna was arrested this morning by Fort Police, following allegations of obstructing police duties in Colombo.

According to police sources, the MP was summoned to the Fort Police station to provide a statement regarding an incident that occurred during a satyagraha demonstration, where he allegedly confronted and verbally reprimanded a police officer on duty.

The arrest was made when the MP arrived at the station with regard to the ongoing investigation
