MP Archchuna Released on Bail After Arrest

COLOMBO (News1st); Jaffna District Member of Parliament Dr. Ramanathan Archchuna was released on two personal bail bonds of one million rupees each, following his arrest earlier in the day in connection with an ongoing investigation into a recent protest incident in Colombo.

The arrest took place when the MP arrived at the Fort Police Station to provide a statement regarding allegations that he had verbally abused a police officer during a satyagraha demonstration held in the Fort area.
