COLOMBO(News 1st): The Sri Lankan cricket team has returned home after a thrilling Super 4 encounter against India at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium.
In a nail-biting finish, both teams had ended the 20 overs tied at 202/5.
India’s opener Abhishek Sharma had led the way with 61 off 31 balls, while Sri Lanka’s Pathum Nissanka had played a brilliant 107, keeping his side in contention.
The match had gone to a Super Over, where India’s Arshdeep Singh had taken two crucial wickets, and captain Suryakumar Yadav had struck the winning runs on the very first ball, handing India a dramatic victory.
