Manamperi’s Mobile Phones Destroyed Amid ICE Investigation

COLOMBO(News 1st):Sampath Manamperi, currently in custody, has reportedly destroyed two of his mobile phones.

This was revealed questioning by the Western North Crime Division.

Police said further analysis is underway on the numbers linked to the destroyed devices.

Yesterday, the Acting Minister of Defense granted permission to detain and interrogate Manamperi, a former Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna Pradeshiya Sabha candidate, for 90 days.

He is the second suspect in the case involving the discovery of chemicals used to manufacture the drug ICE in Middeniya.
