Cable Cart Tragedy Death Toll Rises To 8

Colombo(News 1st): Another monk who was injured when a cable cart came crashing down at the Na Uyana Monastery in Melsiripura, passed away on Sunday (28).

The monk was being treated at the Kurunegala Teching Hospital.

With this death, the total number of monks who have died in the accident rises to eight.

Another seriously injured monk has been transferred to a private hospital in Colombo, while two others continue to receive treatment at Kurunegala Teaching Hospital.
