COLOMBO (News 1st); The Ceylon Chamber of Commerce, in partnership with the Sri Lanka–Bangladesh Business Council, will welcome a prominent business delegation from the Dhaka Chamber of Commerce & Industry (DCCI) on June 17, 2025.

The visiting delegation includes 24 representatives from 22 leading Bangladeshi companies, covering a diverse range of sectors such as automobiles, FMCG, agri cold chain, IT services, logistics, construction, packaging, financial services, pharmaceuticals, renewable energy, manufacturing, and apparel.

The event is designed to foster direct B2B engagement between Sri Lankan and Bangladeshi enterprises, with the goal of exploring trade partnerships, investment opportunities, and joint ventures.

Bangladesh, with a population exceeding 170 million and preferential trade access to major global markets including the EU, UK, Canada, and Japan under the GSP scheme, presents a compelling gateway for Sri Lankan businesses seeking regional expansion. Its geographic proximity and strong connectivity to India, China, and ASEAN further enhance its appeal as a regional trade hub.
