Indian Nabbed With Rs 52 Mn Worth of Kush at Sri Lanka Airport

COLOMBO (News 1st); Officers from the Sri Lanka Customs Narcotics Control Unit apprehended an Indian national at Bandaranaike International Airport early this morning. 

The suspect, a 34-year-old male, was found in possession of approximately 5 kilograms and 200 grams of Kush drugs, valued at around Rs 52 million.

The arrest took place at the airport's arrival terminal, where the suspect had arrived from Bangkok, Thailand. 

The drugs were meticulously concealed within food packets in his luggage. The police have taken the suspect into custody and are conducting further investigations.
