Three suspects have been arrested in connection with defrauding a businessman of Rs.14,070,051 rupees in Polhagawela.
Police also seized 43 rounds of nine-millimeter ammunition, typically used in pistols, during the raid.
One of the suspects, a 22-year-old Navy deserter, was apprehended after a search of his residence uncovered the ammunition.
The other two suspects, aged 26 and 38, are from Maeliya and Alawwa.
The trio allegedly siphoned the money from the bank account of a poultry farm owner.
The Peliyagoda Divisional Criminal Investigation Bureau conducted the raid based on intelligence gathered.
Additionally, a suit resembling a navy uniform was discovered at the scene.
