MPs' Daily Meal Charge Raised from Rs 450 to Rs 2,000

COLOMBO (News 1st); The daily meal charge for Members of Parliament has been increased to Rs. 2,000. 

This decision was made during a recent House Committee meeting, facilitated by the Speaker of Parliament.

House Committee member, MP Gamagedara Dissanayake said that the decision was made at the committee meetring. 

Until now, the daily charge for an MP's meal was Rs. 450.
