Crime Investigation Divisions To Be Established On Provincial Level

COLOMBO (News 1st); Minister of Public Security and Parliamentary Affairs Ananda Wijepala says steps have been taken to establish crime investigation divisions on a provincial level.

The Minister added that in addition to the existing police stations, attention is also being paid to establishing these divisions.

According to the Minister, these divisions have already been established in the Southern Province.

Minister of Public Security and Parliamentary Affairs Ananda Wijepala says that the objective of this is to regularise the investigation process.

The Minister added that certain investigations are directly under the supervision of the IGP.
