COLOMBO (News 1st); Colombo High Court Judge Nadee Aparna Suwandurugoda has ordered that summons be issued to two Indian witnesses in connection with the case filed against Parliamentarian Namal Rajapaksa over the controversial ‘Krrish’ transaction.
The directive was issued after the Criminal Investigation Department informed court that the two foreign witnesses could not be contacted despite efforts to reach them.
In response, the judge instructed authorities to proceed under the Judicial Service Commission’s circular provisions governing the issuance of summons to overseas witnesses.
