COLOMBO (News 1st); A Presidential Task Force has been established to implement the "Clean Sri Lanka" program.
This was announced through an Extraordinary Gazette notification.
The members of the Presidential task force include Secretary to the President Dr. Nandika Sanath Kumanayake, the Commander of the Sri Lanka Army, the Commander of the Sri Lanka Navy, the Commander of the Sri Lanka Air Force, and the Acting Inspector General of Police.
In addition, the Chairman of the Urban Development Authority is also a member of the task force.
The task force consists of 16 members, including Dr. Anuruddha Gamage and Dr. Gamini Batuwitage.
This Presidential task force has been assigned the responsibility of planning, coordinating, implementing, reviewing progress, and completing the "Clean Sri Lanka" program within a specified timeframe.
The program aims to elevate society to a more advanced level through social, environmental, and ethical revival.
