Ranil Set to Return to Politics - Premanath Dolawatte

COLOMBO (News 1st) - Former Member of Parliament Premanath C. Dolawatte has said that former President Ranil Wickremesinghe will make a political comeback, driven by the will of the people. 

Speaking to the media, Former SLPP MP Premnath Dolawatte emphasized that Ranil Wickremesinghe could return to power to help guide the country forward, ensuring good governance and national security.

When asked if Ranil Wickremesinghe would re-enter politics through the national list following upcoming elections, former MP Dolawatte said the decision would ultimately lie with the people.

While acknowledging that Ranil Wickremesinghe has previously said he intends to retire from politics, Dolawatte clarified that the former president would step back only if the people no longer require his leadership.

According to Dolawatte, if the people call for his return, Wickremesinghe would answer that call, as past political history has shown that leaders can unexpectedly return to power under such circumstances.
