Hingurakgoda Airport to be developed as international airport

COLOMBO (News1st); The development of the Hingurakgoda airport as an international airport commenced on Friday (19) morning.

It was chaired by Minister of Ports, Shipping and Aviation Attorney-At-Law Nimal Siripala de Silva.

Accordingly, the runway at the Higurakgoda Airport will be developed.

Secretary to the Ministry K.D.S. Ruwanchandra said the Treasury will provide Rs.4 billion for the development activities.
