Young Woman Dies After Lightning Strike At Habaraduwa Home

COLOMBO (News 1st) -A young woman has died after being struck by lightning at a house in Kokwatte, Habaraduwa.

According to the police, the lightning strike occurred early this morning, causing the roof and a wall of the house to collapse.

Two young women who were temporarily staying at the house sustained injuries during the incident. 

One of them, a 25-year-old, died after sustaining critical injuries.

The other young woman is currently receiving treatment at the Karapitiya Teaching Hospital.
