Finance Ministry Promises Swift Delivery of Rs. 10 Bn for Presidential Election

COLOMBO (News 1st); In a recent meeting held between the Ministry of Finance and the Election Commission, the Secretary of the Ministry of Finance pledged to release the 10 billion rupees designated for the upcoming presidential election without any delays, meeting the requirements set by the Election Commission.

During the discussion, State Minister of Finance Ranjith Siambalapitiya reiterated the government's dedication to stringent financial management, stating that the necessary funds will be provided promptly. 

He assured that there are no obstacles in fulfilling the financial commitment. 

State Minister Siambalapitiya further confirmed that the expenses intended for postage, printing, and security measures will be promptly covered to ensure a smooth and secure electoral process.
