COLOMBO (News 1st) - The Ceylon Electricity Board predicts that dry weather in Sri Lanka will continue limiting hydropower generation.
CEB Spokesperson Noel Priyantha says that thermal power generation will increase to 63% due to this situation.
He stresses the need to manage water levels in reservoirs as electricity demand surges.
Against such a backdrop, the CEB spokesperson requests the public to use electricity sparingly.
