COLOMBO (News 1st); An International Monetary Fund staff visit to Colombo is scheduled from 11th to the 19th of January 2023, confirmed a spokesperson for the IMF.
It is reported that the IMF staff delegation will attend discussions with Sri Lankan authorities on Thursday (11).
State Finance Minister Shehan Semasinghe told News 1s that they would be meeting with officials from the Finance Ministry, President's Office, and the Central Bank of Sri Lanka.
The IMF spokesperson said that the goal is to discuss recent economic developments and follow-up on upcoming program targets and commitments.
The Finance Ministry revealed that the IMF representatives have expressed interest in holding discussions with key officials, including the President, Prime Minister, Finance Minister, and Central Bank authorities.
