COLOMBO (News 1st) - The National Dangerous Drugs Control Board has reported a significant increase in cannabis usage in Sri Lanka, with the number of users rising from 300,000 to 350,000.
The Chairman of the board, Sakya Nanayakkara, says that the number of tobacco users in the country currently stands at 1.5 million.
He added that a crucial discussion to formulate a national drug policy specifically tailored for Sri Lanka is scheduled to take place on 4th August 2023.
