Sri Lanka to hold talks with IMF and World Bank officials next week

COLOMBO (News 1st); State Minister of Finance Shehan Semasinghe said he will meet officials of the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank in Washington and hold bilateral discussions regarding the upcoming programs in Sri Lanka.

State Minister Semasinghe said lengthy discussions will be held regarding the six-month review as well.

The State Minister said the discussions will take place at a conference of the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank due to be held next week.

He said the Governor of the Central Bank of Sri Lanka and the Secretary to the Ministry of Finance will attend the conference with him.
