11,000 dengue cases reported in past 30 days

COLOMBO (News 1st) - The National Dengue Control Unit said that the highest number of dengue cases reported in a month was reported in December.
The Unit said that in the past 30 days alone, 11,082 dengue cases were reported.
The total number of dengue cases reported so far this year is 87,570.
From that, 18,517 have been reported from the Colombo district.
Meanwhile, 62 dengue high-risk zones have been identified across teh island.
The National Dengue Control Unit said that 55 deaths due to dengue have been reported so far this year.
