Sri Lanka and China Prepare for Key Anniversaries in 2027

COLOMBO (News 1st): Sri Lanka and China are preparing to mark the 70th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations and the 75th anniversary of the Rubber-Rice Pact in 2027.

The preparations were discussed during a meeting between Minister of Foreign Affairs, Foreign Employment and Tourism Vijitha Herath and Chinese Ambassador to Sri Lanka Wei Huaxiang.

The two sides also discussed bilateral cooperation, with the anniversaries identified as an opportunity to celebrate the longstanding friendship between the two countries and further strengthen bilateral relations.
