India, Sri Lanka set for Asian Games Women's Gold clash

COLOMBO (News 1st): India Women sealed their spot in the women’s Asian Games Finals with a dominant 114-run victory over Bangladesh. 

They will face Sri Lanka in the final, with Sri Lanka having earlier secured their place in the title clash with a win over Pakistan.

The 2026 Asian Games are being held in Japan.

Batting first, India posted 195 for 4 in their 20 overs.

Shafali Verma led the way with an unbeaten century, scoring 100 runs off 49 deliveries.

Chasing 196 for victory, Bangladesh were bowled out for just 81 in 15.4 overs.

Nandani Sharma and Deepti Sharma shared the wickets, taking three each.

Pakistan will clash with Bangladesh in the Bronze Medal match on September 22, as India will take on Sri Lanka in the Gold Medal match on the same day.
