Heavy Rainfall Above 100mm Expected In Several Areas Today

The Department of Meteorology states that heavy falls above 100 mm can be expected in several areas, including the Western Province, today.

Director General Ajith Wijayamannage said this condition is due to an atmospheric disturbance in the lower atmosphere near Sri Lanka.

The Director General added that several drought-affected areas may also experience rain today.
